MOSCOW, October 12 (RAPSI) - A man who stands charged with intended abuse of a bear by knocking it down by a car in the Sakhalin Region will stand trial, Russia’s Investigative Committee announced on Monday.
According to investigators, on August 14, the accused man drove into collision with the bear on his way from sadistic motives.
The animal received an open wound of the face, injuries of skin cover and thoracic spine.
The man could face up to one year in prison if convicted.
