MOSCOW, October 19 (RAPSI) - Member of the Federation Council, Vadim Tyulpanov, has submitted a bill to the State Duma that would seriously tighten penalties for roofers, RIA Novosti reported on Monday.

Under the bill, fines for unauthorized entry to secure facilities for roofers would be increased from 500 to 10,000 rubles ($163). Officials would face fines ranging from 50,000 ($815) to 100,000 rubles ($1,630) for organizing such illegal activities.

According to Tyulpanov, disregard of rules of presence in the high-risk areas leads to increasing accidents which often result in death.
