MOSCOW, October 21 (RAPSI) - The Moscow District Commercial Court has fined Metro Cash & Carry Russia 300,000 rubles ($4,800) for selling 113 kg of lactose-free cheese produced in the EU countries without official registration, according to court records.

During an inspection of one of the Metro Cash & Carry stores on July 30 Russia’s Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Protection and Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) revealed violation of regulatory requirements upon sale of lactose-free cheese from France, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, Denmark, Austria.

Rospotrebnadzor filed a lawsuit against Metro Cash & Carry following the inspection.
