MOSCOW, March 14 (RAPSI) – The Novosibirsk Regional Court has sentenced members of a gang, responsible for 14 crimes including robberies, to prison terms varying from 10 to 18 years, RIA Novosti reported on Monday.
According to police, the gang was created in 2012 and focused on assaulting Novosibirsk entrepreneurs. There were 8 members in the gang with aged from 20 to 29 years; almost all of them were convicted before.
From 2012 till 2013, gangsters committed 14 crimes in Novosibirsk, while damage caused by these crimes estimates 3.5 million rubles ($50,000). Criminals were charged with robbery, theft, extortion and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
