MOSCOW, April 1 (RAPSI) – Investigators have launched a murder case related to the death of prominent Russian journalist, Dmitry Tsilikin, RIA Novosti reported on Friday.
According to Sergey Kapitonov, a senior assistant of St. Petersburg’s Investigative Committee Department’s Head, several examinations, including forensic, are assigned to this case. Investigators don’t rule out various versions of Tsilikin’s death. Investigators found out that Tsilikin’s laptop and mobile phone are missing from the apartment.
The body of the 54-year old journalist was found in his apartment. According to preliminary findings, he died from multiple knife wounds. His tragic death resulted in a public outcry; the criminal case has been put under special supervision by the Investigative Committee Department in St. Petersburg.
Dmitriy Tsilikin was an editor of “Culture and society” section in the “Chas Pik (Peak Hour)” newspaper. He was also an author and host of multiple TV- and radio-shows, his works were published in numerous newspapers and magazines.
