MOSCOW, May 30 (RAPSI) – A court has ordered the detention of two senior officials of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr) suspected of taking 23 million rubles ($350,000) in bribes, the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of Russia's Investigative Committee reported on Monday.
According to the statement, the suspects are Roman Aushev, Acting Chief of the real estate property rights registration department for the Northwestern District, and his deputy Dmitriy Palferov.
Investigators believe that Aushev and Palferov conspired to take a bribe from a representative of a lawyer firm for “reissue of a certificate of the State registration of title in real property”.
