MOSCOW, August 4 (RAPSI) – The Krasnodar Krai Commercial Court has recovered 85 million rubles ($1.2 mln) from “Platan” firm in a lawsuit filed by Russian agriculture watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor for damaging agriculture lands in Kuban area, announcement from the watchdog reads.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor’s Directorate in the Krasnodar Krai, mass destruction of fertile soil was detected on over a million hectares of agricultural land in possession of “Platan”. The company mixed the fertile layer of soil with sand and gravel. It also placed crushing and screening equipment on the land plot.

The court fulfilled Rosselkhoznadzor’s demands against the firm in full.
