MOSCOW, August 31 (RAPSI) – The Moscow Commercial Court has recovered 2.1 billion rubles ($33.8 mln) from the Orenburg Airlines (JSC Orenair) in a lawsuit filed by Aeroflot, RAPSI learned in the court on Wednesday.
Defendant did not show up for the hearings.
Aeroflot asked the court to recover 1.9 billion rubles ($29.2 million) of main debt as well as accumulated interest. Debt should’ve been returned in May 2016, but defendant failed to meet its obligations.
By the end of August the court registered another lawsuit filed by Aeroflot asking to recover 6.14 billion ($94.4 mln) rubles from the Orenburg Airlines.
In June the Federal Agency of Air Transport (Rosaviation) annulled certificate of the Orenburg Airlines, which is a part of the Aeroflot group, because of merger with Rossiya Airlines.
