MOSCOW, October 19 (RAPSI) – Embassy of Russia in Czech Republic has confirmed the arrest of a Russian national on suspicion of hacker attacks, RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday.
As previously reported, Czech police in cooperation with FBI announced that alleged Russian hacker suspected of cyber attacks on targets in the U.S. had been arrested.
The arrest of a Russian citizen was conducted by Czech authorities at the request of a court in one of the U.S. states, the agency quoted the embassy’s representative Aleksey Kolmakov as having said.
The Russian embassy makes all possible efforts to defend the suspect in cooperation with his lawyer, according to Kolmakov. “We insist that the arrested man should be turned over to Russia,” he added.
