MOSCOW, November 7 (RAPSI) – The Federal Security Service (FSB) arrested a criminal group allegedly financing international terrorism, the FSB Directorate in the Volgograd region announced on Monday.

According to the statement, the gang called “October Jamaat” is involved in financial backing of various terrorist organizations including those operating in Syria.

A criminal case has been opened over facilitating a terrorist activity. Searches have been conducted at premises of three suspects; computers, communications tools, bank cards, payment documents, funds transfer checks and weapons have been seized, the statement reads.
