MOSCOW, January 12 (RAPSI, Oleg Sivozhelezov) – A court in the Novgorod Region has sentenced a local citizen Oleg Borovskikh to 320 hours of community service for incitement of hatred and enmity by posting an extremist publication online, the regional prosecutor’s office reported Thursday.

Investigators and court found that the resident of Valdai town published two texts containing negative assessment of Gipsy and Ukrainian natives on his LiveJournal social network’s page between July 2015 and March 2016. Publications were aimed to stir up hatred and animosity on racial grounds, the statement reads.

Borovskikh pleaded guilty during the trial.
