MOSCOW, February 22 (RAPSI) – Russian citizen was arrested in Bavaria on suspicion of providing financial assistance to Islamic State terrorist organization, prohibited in Russia, RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday citing official representative of the prosecution office in München.
According to RIA Novosti’s source, decision to put 35-year-old Russian citizen in detention was made on Tuesday. Deutsche Presse-Agentur reports that the suspect was arrested around Ingolstadt city. German authorities have already conducted searches at his home and workplace.
The office of the Public Prosecutor General charged Russian citizen with financing terrorism with his own funds as well as funds collected through Russian social network, RIA Novosti reported.
