MOSCOW, April 19 (RAPSI, Lyudmila Klenko) – A court found Russian businessman Ruslan Dashuyev guilty of tax evasion valued at over 815 million rubles ($14.6 million) and passed a 2-year suspended sentence on him, the Investigative Committee’s press office announced on Wednesday.
Dashuyev was also prohibited from holding public offices, posts in local government institutions, commercial organizations for two years.
The defendant pleaded guilty and paid out 450 million rubles ($8 million) of delinquent taxes, the statement reads.
According to investigators, Dashuyev, CEO of an alcohol company in Russia’s Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, submitted declarations containing underestimated information on the volume of the firm’s production to local tax authorities.
The company thus committed an 815-million-ruble tax evasion.
