MOSCOW, April 24 (RAPSI) – The Leningrad District Military Court has upheld detention of a cadet of the A.F. Mozhaisky's Military-Space Academy Vadim Osipov suspected of abetting terrorism, RIA Novosti reported on Monday.
Earlier it was reported that on April 10, the St. Petersburg Garrison Military Court detained cadet Osipov until June 9. Military investigators believe that the cadet was involved in inducing and recruiting people for terrorist activities and/or provided financial aid to terrorism. Osipov could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
The A.F. Mozhaisky Military Space Academy is a military educational institution providing training for specialists of the Aerospace Forces and other types of the Armed Forces in 40 different military specialties.
