MOSCOW, May 26 (RAPSI, Oleg Sivozhelezov) – The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has extended detention for five defendants in the St. Petersburg metro terror attack case, until September 17, RAPSI learnt on Tuesday from the court’s press-service.
Dilmurod Muidinov, Seyfull Khakimov, Ibragibzhon Ermatov and Sodik Ortikov will stay in jail until September 6 while Akram Azimov’s detention was extended until September 17.
On May 18, investigators charged Mukhamadyusup Ermatov, one of the defendants in the St. Petersburg metro blast case, with terrorism and illegal trafficking of explosives.
On April 3, an unknown device exploded in a train between St. Petersburg metro stations Technological Institute and Sennaya Ploshchad. According to the most recent information, 16 people died in the blast including a suicide bomber, over 50 were wounded.
