MOSCOW, June 2 (RAPSI) – Police officers have searched an office of Dynamo hockey club (Moscow) seizing some financial documents, the club says in a statement on Friday.
The raid was carried out as part of a probe initiated by a letter of Sergey Fedorov, Deputy Chair of Dynamo All-Russian Sports Society Board.
In his letter addressed to the Russian Interior Minister, Fedorov indicated that according to the information at his disposal an employee of the club’s training base was involved in embezzlement of money generated by the lease of the base premises, the statement reads.
Nevertheless, the club points out, it needs to be recalled that Dynamo hockey club has at the moment rather strained relations with Dynamo Sports Society. Such letters to the Interior Minister from a Society senior executive may be seen only as “a means of putting pressure” on the hockey club, is stressed in the statement.
The club’s administration has handed out all required documents to investigators and hopes the problem to be settled soon, according to the statement.
