MOSCOW, June 14 (RAPSI, Yevgeniya Sokolova) – A court in Krasnoyarsk has sentenced a 28-year old bank manager to 7 years in prison for embezzling 26.4 million rubles ($464,000) from customer accounts, the Investigative Committee announced on Wednesday.
His accomplice received a 5-year prison sentence, the statement reads.
The defendants pleaded guilty during investigation and repented all what they had done.
According to investigators, from September 2014 to August 2015, the VIP Customer bank manager conspired with his friend to embezzle money from client accounts. The manager has transferred money to his accomplice’s account. The man in turn cashed the stolen money.
