MOSCOW, July 17 (RAPSI, Oleg Sivozhelezov) – The Moscow City Court upheld a 30-month prison sentence given to Russian nationalist Dmitry Demushkin for inciting racial hatred and enmity online, RAPSI reports from the courtroom on Monday.
Defense asked the court to acquit Demushkin and close his case. However, the appeal was dismissed.
According to the Moscow prosecutor’s office, in 2014, the defendant published two extremist images on his social media account aiming to incite animosity and hatred towards a certain group of people.
Demushkin has pleaded not guilty.
