MOSCOW, October 4 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court has reduced prison sentence for the participant of the unauthorized March 26 rally in Moscow, Andrey Kosykh, from 4 years to 3 years and 8 months, the court’s press-service told RAPSI on Wednesday.
On August 9, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow found Kosykh guilty of attacking police officers during the rally and sentenced him to 4 years in a penal colony. Kosykh pleaded guilty.
Three other men arrested during the rally, Yury Kuliy, Alexander Shpakov and Stanislav Zimovets, have also been sentenced for violence against law enforcement officers. Kuliy was given 8 months in a penal colony settlement. Shpakov received a 1.5-year prison sentence. They have pleaded guilty. Zimovets was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison. He has not pleaded guilty in full.
