MOSCOW, December 14 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court has set January 10 as the hearing date for an appeal against arrest of businessman and chairman of the Democratic Party of Moldova Vladimir Plakhotnyuk in absentia, the Basmanny District Court’s spokesperson Yunona Tsareva has told RAPSI.

Plakhotnyuk is charged in Russia with attempted murder. He has been put on the international wanted list.

Reportedly, the case against the politician may be connected with the attempted assassination of Russian banker Herman Gorbuntsov, who was grievously wounded in London in 2012.
