MOSCOW, December 19 (RAPSI) – Norwegian citizen Frode Berg, a suspect in an espionage case, has appealed a ruling of the Lefortovsky District Court of Moscow putting him in detention, the court’s press-service told RAPSI on Tuesday.

Berg is to stay in detention until February 5, 2018.

According to media reports, the defendant was arrested when he received secret documents containing information on Russian navy. Allegedly these papers were given by Russian national Alexey Zhitnyuk, who was detained in December on suspicion of treason.
