MOSCOW, March 23 (RAPSI) – Investigators have filed a motion with Moscow’s Basmanny District Court seeking to detain the chief of the Federal Antimonopoly Service’s Dagestan Directorate Kubasay Kubasayev charged with taking over 3 million rubles ($52,500) in bribes, the court’s spokesperson Yunona Tsareva has told RAPSI.
According to investigation, between 2013 and 2015, Kubasayev received money, Swiss watches and sporting gun for a total of more than 3 million rubles from Shamil Kadiyev, the director of the republic’s state public institution Office of the Single State Customer - Developer. In return, he did not obstruct the holding of auctions by the organization for the right to concluding government contracts.
The official could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
