MOSCOW, April 10 (RAPSI) – The North Caucasus District Military Court has sentenced Yulduz Aliyeva and Anastasia Shilikhina to 6 and 5 years respectively in a penal colony for collecting 23,000 rubles ($370) on social networks and transferring these funds to terrorists, the court’s press service has told RAPSI.
The defendants were found guilty of abetting terrorism.
According to investigators, in 2015, Aliyeva and Shilikhina acting in the Volgograd Region of Russia were collecting money to support terrorist organizations fighting government troops in Syria. The funds were transferred through payment services to banking cards of terrorists.
