MOSCOW, April 27 (RAPSI) – The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has filed a lawsuit seeking preliminary termination of legal protection for TopGear trademark registered in favor of Russian businessman Azamat Ibatullin, the Russian Intellectual Property Court’s (IP Court) ruling reads.
Review of the application was postponed until May 21 because of inaccuracies made during its filing.
Ibatullin owns rights to TopGear trademark in relation to all services listed under telecommunication category of the International classification of goods and services.
TopGear, a famous motorizing TV show, was launched in Great Britain in 1977. Today, BBC Two channel broadcasts it in Great Britain.
