MOSCOW, December 5 (RAPSI) – CEO of Maslodel company, charged with production and supply of dairy products dangerous for health and life of consumers, has been detained, the press-service of Russia’s Investigative Committee has stated.
According to investigators, authorities are also looking into activities of the company’s employees and state officials who may be involved in the crime.
CEO of Maslodel is officially charged with production, storage, carriage or sale of goods and products, fulfillment of works or rendering of services which don’t meet safety standards committed by a group of persons by previous concert.
Investigators believe that from August 2012 till November 2018 the company’s CEO and unidentified conspirators produced dairy in violation of sanitary regulations and marked it with misleading production date. In addition, in May 2017 the alleged criminals knowingly supplied substandard butter to distributors.
Experts found that the organization’s dairy products distributed in Moscow contained dangerous elements including microbial contamination, mold and yeast in unacceptable quantities as well as intestinal bacteria.
