MOSCOW, January 16 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court on Wednesday overturned a ruling extending house arrest for ex-deputy chief of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Diplomatic Corps Directorate Nazym Yusipov charged with fraud, RAPSI was told in the court’s press service.
The case was returned to the Nagatinsky District Court of Moscow for the review.
Yusipov was arrested and placed in detention in April 2018. In May, the Moscow City Court ruled to put the defendant under house arrest. During a previous hearing, his house arrest was extended until February 11.
Yusipov held his post in the Foreign Ministry from March 2017 to late April 2018. However, according to investigators, an alleged crime he stands charged with was committed between 2015 and 2016 and is not connected with his work in the diplomatic mission.
