MOSCOW, January 22 (RAPSI) – Investigators launched a criminal case after a passenger’s alleged attempt to hijack a plane bound from the Siberian city of Surgut to Moscow on Tuesday, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.
The suspect was arrested, the statement reads.
According to preliminary information, a drunk passenger threatening he was armed attempted to break into the air crew cabin and demanded to change the aircraft’s course. A pilot-in-command adopt a decision to make a forced landing 300km short of its destination, in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk.
