MOSCOW, February 18 (RAPSI) – A court in the Rostov Region has sentenced prize fighter Daniel Gritsay to 6 years in high security prison for beating a military engineer, a statement published on the website of Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office reads.
The boxer has been found guilty of hooliganism, intentional infliction of bodily injury, murder threat and property damage.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in 2018, Gritsay was involved in five fights in Millerovo, a town in the Rostov Region, causing bodily injury to victims.
In June 2018, he along with another defendant Sergey Sileyev provoked a conflict and a fight with hotel guests near a local hotel. As a result, an engineer received bodily injury, the statement reads.
The second defendant pleaded guilty and compensated the caused damage. The case against him was closed.
