MOSCOW, March 15 (RAPSI) – The Leninsky Court of Yekaterinburg on Friday found no grounds to put the State Duma lawmaker Vadim Belousov involved in a 3.2-billion-ruble (about $50 million) bribery case in detention, attorney Igor Trunov told RAPSI.

According to a copy of the court document obtained by RAPSI, investigators have not submitted objective findings that the defendant plans to escape or frustrate the probe.

Investigators claim that from May 2010 to January 2014, Belousov, ex-governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Mikhail Yurevich and other accomplices conspired to receive over 3.2 billion rubles (about $50 million) from the Autobahn Holding managers for favoritism and assistance in auctions.

In May 2017, the Sverdlovsk Regional Court issued an arrest warrant for Yurevich in absentia on allegations of taking 26 million rubles in bribes and incitement to defamation.
