MOSCOW, June 7 (RAPSI) – Moscow police have arrested Ivan Golunov, a journalist from Meduza news website, as part of a drug trafficking case, his attorney Dmitry Dzhulai has told RAPSI.

The journalist is suspected of preparation for illegal selling drugs on a large scale, the lawyer has added.

According to the Interior Ministry’s official statement, police have seized nearly 4 grams of methylmethedrone from Golunov.

The arrested journalist believes that the drugs were planted on him during the arrest and claims that his prosecution is related to his journalistic investigations.
