MOSCOW, June 26 (RAPSI) – A court in Abakan, the capital city of the Russian Republic of Khakassia, has ordered the Finance Ministry to pay the local citizen Artem Yurchenko 50,000 rubles (about $800) in compensation for unjustified prosecution in the extremism case, his attorney Vladimir Vasin has told RAPSI.
Yurchenko has been prosecuted for a publication on VKontakte social network, Vasin added.
According to the lawyer, during the 580-day investigation it was revealed that some case papers have the signs of falsification. A prosecutor did not approve the case transfer to court.
Earlier, two extremism cases were opened against Yurchenko, which were later consolidated into a single case.
