MOSCOW, July 11 (RAPSI) – Probe was opened on Thursday into the large fire that occurred at a thermal cogeneration plant in the Moscow Region, the Investigative Committee’s press service told RAPSI.
A case was opened over breach of energy complex enterprise security requirements.
According to the preliminary information, one person died in the fire, the total number of injured people is not determined yet. However, the blaze caused damage estimated at around 150 million rubles to a neighboring company, investigators stated.
On July 11, gas was released from a high-pressure injecting pipe at a thermal power station in Mytishchi, a town in the Moscow Region. The fire turned out at 200 meters from the place of gas outburst.
Investigation is ongoing.
