MOSCOW, September 9 (RAPSI) – A prosecutor has demanded prison terms ranging from 6 to 7 years for three police officers charged with abuse of office by using force against an arrested individual, the victim’s lawyer Alexey Bushmakov has told RAPSI.
Their sentencing is scheduled in a court in Russia’s city of Nizhny Tagil for September 18.
According to case papers, three policemen Anatoly Leonov, Denis Borodachev and Anton Lobanov on October 3, 2018, demanded confession from arrested Maxim Chervotkin with the use of violence against him.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
