MOSCOW, September 20 (RAPSI) – A court in Russia’s Yaroslavl has sentenced attorney Vladimir Zubkov to 4 years behind bars for attempted embezzlement and falsification of documents, RAPSI has learnt in the court’s press service.

The court has also banned him from practicing law for 2.5 years.

A prosecutor has demanded 6 years for the lawyer.

According to court records, Zubkov has attempted to steal 1.5 million rubles ($23,500) from his client with the use of forged documents. The defendant has pleaded not guilty.
