MOSCOW, September 26 (RAPSI) – A criminal case has been launched over inflammation of a landing gear leg of a landed Boeing in Russia’s Barnaul, the Investigative Committee informs on its website.
Investigation is conducted into alleged violation of air safety rules, the statement reads.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening with the Azur Air’s Boeing-767 departed from Vietnam. Passengers were evacuated when one of the gear legs took fire; 56 people were injured, one of them was hospitalized, according to investigators.
