MOSCOW, October 1 (RAPSI) – A criminal case was opened Tuesday after a Moscow investigator was killed in the Investigative Committee’s building.

An assault on colonel Vladislav Kapustin was committed with the use of a knife. According to the Investigative Committee’s statement, the victim was attacked during the reception of citizens. He was taken to a hospital but died there.

The alleged attacker was immediately arrested; he is being questioned now, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports. According to the preliminary information, the suspect is registered at a psychoneurologic dispensary. During the arrest, he behaved inadequately. A mental examination is to be conducted, the statement reads.
