MOSCOW, October 3 (RAPSI) – Moscow’s Basmanny District Court has held that deputy CEO of Aeroflot air carrier Vladimir Aleksandrov be detained on embezzlement allegations until November 30, according to a RAPSI reporter.
However, prosecutors and defense sought for house arrest of the defendant.
Aleksandrov has allegedly committed the crime during rendering legal services to the company in the amount at least 250 million rubles (about $4 million). From 2016 to 2017, the defendant worked in the airline’s legal department and was engaged in external legal services provided for the company at the rate of 350 euros per hour, the case papers read.
The defendant pleads not guilty.
Other suspects in the case are lawyers of the Moscow Region bar association Dina Kibets and Alexandra Slivko, and ex-employee of Aeroflot’s legal department Tatiana Davydova.
