MOSCOW, October 14 (RAPSI) – Four alleged participants of the unauthorized 27 July rally in Moscow have been arrested on suspicion of using violence against police officers, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.
Charges will be brought against the arrested persons soon, the statement reads.
According to investigators, on July 27, 2019, in central Moscow Egor Lesnykh and Maxim Martintsov acting as a group attacked a National Guard officer and knocked him to the ground. Moreover, Lesnykh allegedly kicked another law enforcement officer. Another suspect Andrey Barshay allegedly attacked a National Guard officer and gave him a poke in the back, investigators state.
Investigators also claim that one more man Vladimir Yemelyanov committed illegal actions against a law enforcement officer. The suspect allegedly coerced the officer obstructing performance of his duties.
Two more identified suspects fled from investigators, according to the statement.
