MOSCOW, October 25 (RAPSI) – A CEO of the tour operator Purl River has received a 2-year suspended sentence for abuse of office, according to information published of the website of Russia’s Investigative Committee.
Actions of the tour firm’s head led to the company’s failure to fulfil its contractual obligations towards IrAero air carrier and consequently to impossibility of departure of Russian tourists from China in time, the statement reads.
According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, the tour operator’s debt to the airline exceeded $2.3 million in 2018.
