MOSCOW, December 10 (RAPSI) – Judge emeritus of the Sverdlovsk Regional Commercial Court OIeg Gavryushin has received 8 years in a high-security prison for receiving a bribe, the Investigative Committee’s website informs.

Additionally, he has been fined 14 million rubles ($220,000) and deprived of the right to hold state service posts for 5 years.

According to the court ruling, in 2018, Gavryushin demanded from a commercial organization 14 million rubles for delivering a ruling in favor if the bribegiver.

A mediator in the bribery has been sentenced to 7.5 years in jail without fine.
