MOSCOW, December 20 (RAPSI) – Investigators have asked the Moscow Basmanny District Court to arrest Alexander Tsakunov, the former Investor Manager of Vostochny bank in criminal case over grave embezzlement, Irina Morozova, the court’s press-secretary Irina Morozova informs RAPSI on Thursday.
The ex-manager is suspected of committing embezzlement in a large scale fraud.
According to mass media outlets, the criminal prosecution of Tsakunov may be related to a 2.5 billion rubles (about $40 million at the present exchange rate) embezzlement at Vostochny; Michael Calvey, a U.S. citizen and Baring Vostok investment company's founder, is among defendants in that case.
