MOSCOW, December 24 (RAPSI) – Investigators on Tuesday lodged a motion to detain the chief of the Federal Customs Service’s customs investigations directorate Alexander Kizlyk as part of a case over abuse of power, the spokesperson of Moscow’s Basmanny District Court Irina Morozova told RAPSI.
Investigators demanded to place the official in detention until February 22, she added.
The court is also expected to consider on Tuesday a motion to detain another defendant, Kizlyk’s deputy Alexey Serebro.
Reportedly, searches were earlier conducted in the Federal Tax Service’s headquarters, Vnukovo and Domodedovo customs.
