MOSCOW, January 28 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court has ruled to block access to copies of World of Warcraft offered by five websites as an interim relief in the pending litigation over a Blizzard Entertainment Inc. claim seeking to protect its exclusive right to this popular computer game, the court’s press-service informs RAPSI.
The measure obliges Russia’s media watchdog Roskomnadzor to cut off technical capabilities these five websites employed to publish, distribute, and in other ways use the game.
The claim submitted by Blizzard Entertainment Inc. seeks to prohibit the defendants in the case to create technical conditions allowing the publication, distribution, and other use of World of Warcraft; the move is to be discussed at a pretrial conference on February 6.
