MOSCOW, January 28 (RAPSI) – A resident of Russia’s Khabarovsk Krai, who had given two his sons up at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, turned himself in one of the Investigative Committee’s units.
He is now being questioned, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.
Two boys born 2011 and 2014 were found in the airport’s building on Sunday. Their documents and father’s letter asking to temporarily place the children in an orphanage because of his financial problems were found in the minors’ bags.
According to investigators, the boys’ father departed for the city of Rostov. The case is opened against him over child endangerment. Investigation is ongoing.
