MOSCOW, May 18 (RAPSI) – A district court in the town of Sochi on Monday ruled to detain an individual for an attempted escape from an observation medical facility he had been placed in for a quarantine, the Krasnodar Regional Court’s press-service informs on Monday.

The man was found guilty of an administrative offence, as he had breached the legislation governing sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population; the defendant had also failed to comply with lawful orders of a police officer.

The offender was fined 15,000 rubles (about $200 at the current exchange rate) and detained for 3 days under administrative regulations.
