MOSCOW, May 21 (RAPSI) – Belarus has extradited four persons charged with organized group theft, illegal organization of gambling and criminal community to Russia, according to a statement of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office.
As the defendants had absconded during investigation they were put on a wanted list. Law enforcement established their whereabouts in Belarus and sought for their extradition. Belarusian authorities granted the Russian request.
It is also reported that Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office in turn agreed to extradite nine persons accused of various crimes to Belarus, the statement reads.
