MOSCOW, July 21 (RAPSI) – A court in Russia’s Barnaul has sentenced a judge of the regional Commercial Court Vladislav Kolesnikov to 7 years in high-security prison for receiving a 800,000-ruble bribe (over $11,000), RAPSI has learnt in the Investigative Committee’s press service.
The defendant has been also fined 8 million rubles. Moreover, the court deprived him of a right to take state and municipal authority posts for 3 years.
According to the court papers, in 2017, Kolesnikov considered a case over additional stepped-up value taxation. The judge delivered an illegal ruling in the case for a bribe amounting to 800,000 rubles.
