MOSCOW, September 18 (RAPSI) – Investigators have lodged a motion to detain director of Russia’s picked teams training centre and ex-president of the Russian Biathlon Union Alexander Kravtsov as part of an embezzlement case until November 15, the spokesperson of Moscow’s Basmanny District Court Irina Morozova has told RAPSI.
Embezzlement charges have been already brought against Kravtsov.
Investigators believe that the accused fictitiously employed several people to the Russian national competitive skiing team. Total damage caused by actions of Kravtsov exceeds 14 million rubles ($186,500), according to the investigation.
