MOSCOW, September 23 (RAPSI) – The Federation Council on Wednesday approved appointment of the head of the Volga District Commercial Court Yury Glazov as a new Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Russia, RAPSI was told in the press service of Russia’s upper house of parliament.

Concurrently, Glazov took a post of Chairman of the Supreme Court’s Civil Chamber.

Earlier, President Vladimir Putin nominated the candidacy of Glazov.

Yury Glazov is an Honored Lawyer of Russia, Candidate of Juridical Sciences working in Russia’s judicial system since 1990. From 2008 to 2013 he was a Chairman of the Belgorod Regional Commercial Court. Since March 2013, he has headed the Federal Volga District Commercial Court.
