MOSCOW, October 1 (RAPSI) – The Moscow Commercial Court has distrained property worth 283.8 billion rubles (about $4 billion) belonging to Mikail Shishkhanov, ex-president of Binbank and owner of Rost Bank, and three other bankers upon a request of Russia’s Central Bank, according to court records.

All defendants in the dispute are Shishkhanov, Kirill Lyubentsov, Alexander Lukin and Alexey Farafontov. The hearing of a claim to recover the funds is set for November 9.

In September, the court seized assets of the same persons amounting to 306.5 billion rubles as part of an application of the National bank Trust.

In October 2017, the Central Bank approved a plan of participation in taking steps to prevent insolvency of Binbank, including increase of authorized capital of the bank and granting funds for maintenance of the organization’s liquidity.
